Jaws was more thrilling than horrifying, yet it managed to scare the living shit out of me. It's one of those films that never gets old. I must have seen it about 10 times now.
Rosemary's Baby may be old, but God damn did some scenes make me jump! I'll never forget the demon conception sequence... "This is not a dream!" It's a terrific film all around, and a trailblazer for the modern horror film.
Hideo Nakata's "Dark Water" is my favourite horror movie of all time, because of the intense emotional element added into it. While this movie did scare the living shit out of me at times, there are definitely scarier films.
This Sci-Fi / Horror from 1978 makes me bite my nails real bad! We've seen the story of Aliens taking over Planet Earth by stealing our body's a million times... but this 1978 version of that story is far and away the best.
The villain in this film... the... I dare not speak its name! Let's just say that I found this movie equally frustrating and terrifying! While the main character annoyed me to death, the sheer terror I felt whenever I saw the villain brought me back to life!
