With the success of movies like Alice in Wonderland, Maleficent, Cinderella and the upcoming Beauty and the Beast - true, it's not even out yet, but I have no doubts that it will be a massive hit - according to reports from The Hollywood Reporter, Mulan will be the next to join the ranks of Disney movies given the live-action treatment!
Disney reportedly purchased a script focusing on Hua Mulan, the legendary Chinese warrior and protagonist from Disney's 1998 animated film Mulan, from screenwriting team Elizabeth Martin and Lauren Hynek. The film will also be produced by Chris Bender and J.C. Spin (We're the Millers, The Butterfly Effect).
While there's no way to know how much this film will resemble the 1998 animated feature, maybe it will focus more on the traditional tales!
