Fun fact: While Tom Hanks voices the character of Woody in all three Toy Story films, the voice of the Woody doll, which you can purchase in stores, is actually voiced by his brother, Jim.
2. Buzz Lightyear, voiced by Tim Allen
Fun fact: As well as voicing the character of Buzz Lightyear, Tim is also known for his role in the show Home Improvement, in which Buzz Lightyear has made a few indirect cameos. During the credits scene in an episode where Tim looks after his nieces, Tim picks up a Buzz Lightyear doll and pretends to argue with it, saying “I am Buzz Lightyear”, “No, I am Buzz Lightyear.” The irony, of course, being that Tim is actually Buzz.
3. Mr. Potato Head, voiced by Don Rickles
Fun fact: Rickles is a comedian who’s known for addressing impolite members of the audience as “hockey pucks” during his performances. Mr Potato Head also says the phrase “What are you looking at, ya hockey puck?” to an actual hockey puck in the film.
4. Slinky Dog, voiced by Jim Varney
Fun fact: Jim Varney is best known for his role as Ernest P. Worrell, a character who was used in several TV adverts and movies. Unfortunately, Jim died of lung cancer at the age of 50.
5. Rex, voiced by Wallace Shawn
Fun fact: You may recognise Wallace’s voice from numerous other animations, including Principal Arthur Mazur in A Goofy Movie, Mr. Huph in The Incredibles, and Bertram in Family Guy.
