Big Hero 6 fans rejoice! Everyone's favorite fluffy, white, furry, baby-loving, healthcare companion is flying into the small screen with its own series on Disney XD.

Disney's Oscar-winning adaptation of the Marvel comic was met with so much love and appreciation that it's heading over to our regular scheduled programming. The Big Hero 6 series will be brought to life with the help of Mark McCorkle (Kim Possible) and Robert Schooley (The Penguins Of Madagascar).

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the series will follow Hiro and Baymax immediately after the events of the film as Hiro takes on the challenges of being a young student at San Fransokyo Institute Of Technology. The show will also bring back Hiro's team of superfriends including Wasabi, Honey Lemon, Go Go and Fred.

Gary Marsh, president and CCO over at Disney Channels Worldwide, expressed his excitement for the new series and the chance to expand upon the already vivid and engaging world created by Big Hero 6:

"Our colleagues at Walt Disney Animation Studios have created a brilliant new world, inspired by Marvel, with vivid, unique characters. We are thrilled to have the opportunity to further develop these characters into a world class animated series — full of fun, action and the kind of endearing storytelling that only Mark, Bob — and Baymax — can deliver."

'Big Hero 6' has officially started production and will premiere on Disney XD in 2017.
