Ever since I was a toddler I've loved Winnie The Pooh, as many of us here have. Even to this day, he will always have a place in my heart. However, there is a theory going around that the characters of Winnie the Pooh were based on common psychiatric disorders according to the Canadian Medical Association.
After reading about it, it really did hit me hard, to the point where I was bewildered by the results:
Winnie the Pooh
Winnie the Pooh suffers from ADHD, OCD and an eating disorder. Pooh is obsessed with honey and would go through great lengths to acquire it and loves to gorge on it. He also suffers from OCD due to his repetitive counting; not to mention he might also develop Tourette's Syndrome due to him having both ADHD and OCD.
Piglet
Piglet has Generalized Anxiety Disorder where he has a constant fear of almost everything. It was believed that he might have suffered from a crippling injury that cause his self-esteem to drop and his stuttering was most likely developed from this said injury.
Rabbit
Rabbit has OCD, which is why he's so orderly and obsessive. Although most definitely not a disorder, this theory also questions his sexual orientation due to his "feminine" behavior.
