In his action-packed series Porcelain Figures, German photographer Martin Klimas drops figurines of martial artists from a height of 3 meters, sending them to their imminent destruction.

Meanwhile, on the floor, a high-speed camera waits to catch it all unfold. The sound of shattering porcelain triggers the camera’s shutter release, capturing the entire spectacle at the moment of impact.

The resulting images feature figurines engaging in all sorts of martial arts madness as parts of their bodies burst and shatter into pieces.
