French artist Gilbert Legrand can see what the average eye cannot.

He sees characters hidden in everyday items and brings them to life with some artistic magic.

With a bit of paint and a lot of imagination, he shows us that a trigger spray bottle could actually be a huge rat...

A pair of scissors really need to get a room...

And that an ordinary paintbrush is just as easily an injured fox.

Other characters from his portfolio are just as adorable (especially the ones with tiny legs and arms added to them).

The Paris-based artist and freelance illustrator has been working on this collection of sculptures for the past 10 years.

He regularly holds exhibits in art centers across France, inspiring kids and adults alike to view the world from a different – and imaginative – perspective.
