This visual is from Girona in the northeastern Catalonia region of Spain. Possibility is that this could be Oldtown, where we will see Sam and Gilly. It is here that Sam will train to become a Maester. The edifice also matches the book’s description of the Citadel in Oldtown, just the stone sphinxes are missing. Bet a little CGI would perfect that!
Kit Harrington was seen for a good three weeks at the set where Castle Black is created. This picture shows smoke coming out of the set in Magheramome, and a large crane can also be seen. Possibility is that this is the place where Jon’s funeral or resurrection will happen. Could Melisandre be doing it by performing some rituals? That remains to be seen, but Kit Harrington’s extended stay on the sets sure reveals that his role is not over yet.
