4 Walking Dead Actors Have Been Promoted to Season Regulars

Season 7 of The Walking Dead is only months away and we already have some good news! AMC recently announced FOUR characters will be promoted to season regulars (meaning a lot more screen time). This now increases the total to 20 series regulars (2 more than last season)…but with Negan’s cliffhanger kill in the air the number is sure to go down.
Currently, the season regulars stands at: Andrew Lincoln, Norman Reedus, Steven Yeun, Lauren Cohan, Chandler Riggs, Danai Gurira, Melissa McBride, Michael Cudlitz. 4. XANDER BERKLEY
Although only appearing in a single episode last season, Xander Berkley’s portrayal of arrogant Hilltop leader Gregory was VERY memorable. In the comics, his character’s questionable leadership sets off a string of events that lead to Negan’s arrival, safe zone battles, and ultimately major characters’ death. Although it remains to be seen if his Gregory will mirror the source material, his series promotion definitely means we’ll be seeing more of The Hilltop.
