San Diego Comic-Con is in full affect, which can only means: NEW GAME OF THRONES STUFF.
A lot of the key cast and creative minds behind Game of Thrones were at the Comic-Con panel.
Faye Marsay (The Waif), Nathalie Emmanuel (Missandei), Sophie Turner (Sansa Stark), John Bradley (Samwell Tarly), Isaac Hempstead Wright (Bran Stark), Iwan Rheon (Ramsay Bolton), Conleth Hill (Varys), Liam Cunningham (Ser Davos Seaworth), and Kristian Nairn (Hodor) all attended. Show creators David Benioff and D. B. Weiss were also in attendance, and “Battle of the Bastards” director Miguel Sapochnik.
Here’s everything we learned.
Behind-the-scenes look at Season 7. No new show footage, but some cool shots that foreshadow Cersei’s coming reign…
…including the Lannister banner and that BLACK SEQUIN LION SLEEVE.
George R.R. Martin has known about Hodor’s sad fate for years, and the creators thought it was “frickin’ cool.”
“Three or four years ago, we were in Santa Fe talking to George, and he told us about where he was heading with the books — and that was when he told us the Hodor fate and where the name ‘Hodor’ came from. But I just remember looking at Dan and we were both so amazed and excited because it was so frickin’ cool,” Benioff said.
