Only a few months ago, it was revealed that The Walking Dead (2010 - ) has been renewed by AMC for a seventh season. The pilot episode aired five years ago on October 31, 2010 and the series follows Sheriff Deputy Rick Grimes as he leads a group of survivors in a world overrun by zombies.

Nominated for a Golden Globe, and winning over forty awards, the program has become a world-wide smash. But everyone has to start somewhere, whether it be on the small screen or the silver screen. So let's take a look at what some of the cast looked like when they appeared on screen for the first time.

Andrew Lincoln (Rick Grimes) - 'Drop the Dead Donkey' - Births and Deaths (1994)



Brit actor Andrew Lincoln made his screen debut as a character called Terry in the UK comedy series Drop the Dead Donkey (1990-1998). He appeared in Season 4 in an episode called 'Births and Deaths' which aired in the UK on 20 October 1994.

A few years after this, Andrew appeared in the TV Series This Life (1996–1997). During the episode 'Coming Together', which aired in the UK on March 18 1996, Lincoln shot a shower scene, where he emerged completely naked.

Chandler Riggs (Carl Grimes) - 'Jesus H. Zombie' (2006)



Chandler Riggs made his debut on the silver screen when he was only 7 years old. He played a character named Egon in the 2006 Comedy/Horror/Sci-Fi film Jesus H. Zombie.

Other credits for the 16-year-old star include Mercy (2014), and he will soon be starring in next years horror/thriller Keep Watching (2016).
