It's Been 10 Years Since We Were Introduced to the Characters of 'The Adventures of Sharkboy and Lavagirl 3-D' But What Adventures Are the Stars on These Days?
It was just over 10 years ago that the world was saved by the unlikely trio in the Robert Rodriguez directed film The Adventures of Sharkboy And Lavagirl 3-D. In the film we joined Max as he journeyed with Sharkboy (Taylor Lautner) and Lavagirl (Taylor Dooley) to the Planet Drool to save it from the now-evil electrician Mr. Electric (George Lopez). Memory a bit hazy? Watch the trailer to let it all flood back:
Can you believe that movie was released 10 years ago?
A lot has happened since we were introduced to those crazy heroes and villains born from Max's brain, and the stars have certainly grown up and gone on to do some amazing things. But don't take my word for it, check out what the stars of the 2005 film The Adventures of Sharkboy And Lavagirl 3-D are up to these days:
Taylor Lautner as Sharkboy
What he's been up to since: I had no idea that Sharkboy transformed into the wolf-man Jacob in The Twilight Saga! Following Sharkboy and Lavagirl, Lautner also starred in Duck Dodgers, Danny Phantom, Cheaper by the Dozen 2, Love. Inc. and He's a Bully, Charlie Brown. Next up was his big role as Jacob Black in Twilight, a role he reprised for the four sequel films. You may have also seen Lautner in My Own Worst Enemy, Valentine's Day, Abduction, Grown Ups 2, Cuckoo and Tracers. He is also due to star in the films Run the Tide and The Ridiculous 6 in the near future.
Taylor Dooley as Lavagirl
What she's been up to since: The Adventures of Sharkboy and Lavagirl 3-D was Taylor's first on-screen role, and following that she went on to star in Whitepaddy, Apology, Monster Night, an episode of House M.D. and The Alyson Stoner Project, as well as some roles on stage. After taking a break from acting to finish school (graduating with a degree in Psychology), Dooley has recently launched back into film this year. She has three projects currently lined up including Devotion, The Portrait's Secret and horror film Grimmerson Manor.
