Some people see street art as a form of vandalism. But would an artwork still be branded as one if it makes a dull wall or sidewalk more pleasing to the eyes? As an artist, musician, and graphic designer, EFIX felt the urge to bring beauty to the dull streets of Barcelona. A meaningless sign becomes in the spirit of Efix, the zinc of the bar of Chez Moe, a pipe, the saxophone of Lisa Simpson, a mailbox of the Post Office Sponge Bob, or the little green guy on the street lights, a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle. Check out some of his works below, and see how they’ve made Barcelona look more alive than ever.
