Disney Pixar Released A Teaser For Its New Short Film, And The Main Character Is Too Cute
Watch the adorable new teaser for Pixar short 'Bao'
Last week Pixar released a delicious sneak peek of the new short film Bao. This beautiful short film tells a story about an aging Chinese mom suffering from an empty nest syndrome. After one of her dumplings comes to life, she gets another chance at motherhood. Although the dumpling is a lively and cheerful creature, his new mom soon faces the reality that little dumpling is not going to stay cute and small for much longer.
Created by Pixar Animation Studios and directed by Domme Shi, the film explores parent-child relationships and gives some refreshing representation of the Chinese immigrant community in Canada. According to EW, artist Domme Shi is the first female short film director in the studio’s history. In this film, Domme sought inspiration from her own upbringing and created a very personal and relatable story.
Bao is definitely going to make some of its viewers sob. Stay tuned for it to premiere on June 15. As for now, check out the teaser below.
