The entire premise of 90% of Disney properties (besides the fact that step parents are evil and biological parents are doomed to experience improbable and catastrophic deaths) revolves around romance, so it's no wonder so few of them are set post-2010: as we see below, the internet and its unstoppable mission to get people to freak on each other has changed casual "romance" for good.
